CGL waste acceptance:

• Municipal Solid Waste Disposal

  • CGL is presently permitted to receive up to 500 tons per day of municipal solid waste

• Commercial/Industrial Waste Disposal

• Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) (IWMA Facility)

  • Specially designated area managed by IWMA’s HHW Collection accepts:

    • Paint

    • Liquids

    • Oil

    • Solvents

    • Gasoline

    • TV/Computer Monitors

    • Spray cans

  • The maximum amount that can be dropped for free is 15 gallons or 125 pounds. Fees may apply for larger volumes or when more than one TV/computer monitor is delivered.

  • HHW should NOT be placed in normal garbage nor discarded in an uncontrolled manner. The uncontrolled disposal of HHW presents potential problems to the environment, the public and to landfill employees.

  • The HHW unit does NOT accept:

    • Radioactive materials

    • Explosives

    • Biomedical waste (sharps, lancets or needles)

  • Small business use of the facility must be approved prior to arrival by calling 1-800-400- 0811.

  • IWMA receives materials at the unit on Saturday from 11 AM to 3 PM

• Construction and Demolition Debris Management

  • The operation can accept

    • Wood

    • Metal

    • Concrete

    • Non-friable asbestos

    • Used Tires (truck, passenger car and farm equipment)

    • Green wastes (grass, shrubs, stumps and other yard wastes)

    • Appliances (refrigerators, water heaters, washer/dryers, dishwashers and freezers)
